Love sushi nights with the girls? Then make your date for Thursdays in Umhlanga as here you can enjoy an all-you-can eat buffet of sushi from 17:30 to 21:00.

Every Sunday, it's go time! Situated on North Beach, it's a ideal place to gather with family and friends. Take in the panoramic beach views while you dine on everything from lamb curry to proper Sunday roasts.

Very close to Franschhoek is this beauty of a wine estate. The second-oldest wine farm in the country is a fabulous place to spend a special occasion at. The traditional Cape buffet at the Rhode Restaurant is open to the public on 24th December for dinner and 25th for lunch, and then for groups on any day of the week but only with a minimum of 30pax guests. Leopard’s Leap (Franschhoek)

Offering an excellent rotisserie lunch on Sundays, Leopard's Leap is especially great for family lunches. Outside there is a playground where kids can roam freely, while mom and day sip on a class of crisp Chenin inside. The buffet is a bit on the pricey side, but you do get top, top quality meats and sides to choose from. 

Harvey’s at Winchester Mansions 

Have breakfast at this old school Cape Town icon, situated in Sea Point. Sit on the deck or inside the restaurant and eat your way from the delicious fresh smoothies, all the way to the omelette station. Oh, and repeat!
