WATCH: See how the egg goes from chicken to breakfast with Farmer Angus

Ever thought about how your food is made?

In a world of mass consumption, agriculture has been continuously named as a culprit in environmental degradation, failing population health and abuse of animals.

But on a small farm at Spier in Stellenbosch, Farmer Angus is showing the world a different way of feeding the world while also healing it.

He practices regenerative farming, where animals and the land are put first, producing higher quality meat and egg products.

Angus grew up on a farm in rural KwaZulu-Natal, but pursued the glitzy life as a stockbroker in London. Wanting to return to African soil, he moved his family back and settled into farming on a piece of land named Ezibusisweni - the place of blessings.

Today, as an artisanal farmer, Angus has made it his life's mission to spread awareness of regenerative agriculture, create a more sustainable method of feeding the masses and make South Africans healthier again.
