Cape Town - Ever wondered where everyone goes off to on their Uber trips?
Uber SA chatted to their drivers to find out which are the most popular destinations in Cape Town and Johannesburg for their riders, with a few surprise spots.
Exploring Cape Town
The Mother City is dizzy with choice when it comes to finding the best place to spend an evening, but according to its drivers the most requested trips are to Tortilla Modern Mexican, Cubana in Somerset Road and Arnold's Restaurant in Kloof Street.
For local Capetonians, business parks with the most requests are Wembley Square in Gardens and Boulevard Office Park in Woodstock.
The top hotel is Mandela Rhodes Place, situated in the heart of the city and famous for its decadent high tea.
Cape Town Uber driver Collin loves the views you get in Cape Town while driving around waiting for ride requests, and can never get enough of the beauty of God's masterpiece that is Cape Town.
Hustling in Jozi
In Jozi, the go-getter business people dominate the service, with most top spots in the Sandton region. Beyond the hustle-and-bustle life though, Radison Blu, Michelangelo and Raphael Penthouse Suites are very popular hotels for those visiting the City of Gold for work and leisure.
Riders also play hard, making Lobby Bar and Faces Lounge their favourites for drinks and food.
For local driver Keegan, driving international tourists around is like being a tour guide, and makes him feel like he's representing our beautiful SA.
Drivers are sure to be kept busy over the festive season, but also keep an eye out for those holiday surcharges when in these cities.
