WATCH: You can visit the home of Santa Clause in the Arctic Circle

Way up in the Arctic Circle there's an amusement park with all the trappings of Christmas - including Santa Clause himself!

It's one of the top Christmas destinations in the world, and you can either go sledding with some reindeer, meet the Big Red Man or sent a letter with a special Arctic Circle stamp.

While the village is open the whole year, it's best to go during the winter months for that authentic Christmas feel.

How do you get there?

Santa Clause Village is near Rovaniemi in Lapland, Finland, and the best way to get there is by air to Rovaniemi Airport - or you can take a sleeper train for a scenic 9-hour trip from Helsinki.

As Finland forms part of the European Union, you will need a Schengen visa to go.
