Where to find the best restaurants with fireplaces in Cape Town - ranked for your budget

Warming up in winter in Cape Town can be particularly difficult. The Mother City's winter allows us very little mercy.

A Touch of Madness in Obs - R

Set in an old Victorian house, it's a comfortable, laid-back space with yummy burgers.

El Burro in Greenpoint - RR

Cape Town's favourite Mexican eatery is always a good idea. Margaritas even in winter please!

Kloof Street House in Gardens - RRR

One of Cape Town's best dinner spots, it is old school glam at its very best. Have a drink at the  beautiful wooden bar.

Wild Fig in Obs - RR

Head to this 18th-century farmhouse for pub lunches or other creative Mediterranean and Asian dishes. 

Rick’s Café Americain in Gardens - RR

We love this classic Cape Town spot! A Casablanca movie-themed restaurant with Moroccan food, it's a local favourite.

Societi Bistro in Gardens - RRR

Good food, service and a lovely setting for a romantic date.

The Stack in Oranjezicht - RRR
